June 2014

Sunday, June 1, 10am-noon
Singing The Angel Hall Into Its Future

Sunday, June 8, 7.30-9.00pm
Zikr with Hamid van Koten
The Arabic word Zikr literally means "remembrance" and this is a Sufi devotional gathering where the One in All is re-membered through rhythmic unified movement and chant. It is a sacred ritual and it is important to prepare mind and body, for example by doing a cleansing ritual before hand, and to bring intention into the space of the Zikr and to maintain this throughout. Children are very welcome, provided they observe the contemplative atmosphere.
The Zikr itself will last for about an hour, with a little time to gather beforehand, and some space afterwards.
