We use beds 1.2metres wide with paths 40cm wide, each year with different planting styles and different crops the beds and paths shift sideways a bit to the point where the standard size is lost which can substantially alter the cropping area - we are trying realine the paths and beds while many of them are empty. This involves estabishing a datum point marked witb a post to measure from, the changes lead to quite a lot of redigging of paths which we are then marking with woodchip.
